Configuring
your E-mail Client
Please follow the instructions below to change/update your e-mail
settings. The change will only take a few minutes and will ensure
that you can continue to send/receive e-mail through your
softsolutions.com e-mail account.
We have provided step by step instructions on how to make changes on
the most popular e-mail clients. Select your client from the list
below:
Outlook Express
-
Open Outlook Express.
-
Go to Tools | Accounts...
-
Click on the Mail tab.
-
Click on the Properties button.
-
Click on the Servers tab.
-
The Incoming
mail and Outgoing mail servers should be set to mail.softsolutions.com
-
The Account Name needs to be
changed to the following format: username@softsolutions.com (Be sure
to enter your actual user name. In most cases, the account name
will be the same as your e-mail address).

Enter your password if its been changed.
-
Click OK.
-
Click Close.
Outlook 2000
-
Open Outlook 2000.
-
Go to Tools | Accounts...
-
Click on the Mail tab.
-
Click on the Properties button.
-
Click on the Servers tab.
-
The Incoming
mail and Outgoing mail servers should be set to mail.softsolutions.com
-
The Account Name needs to be
changed to the following format: username@softsolutions.com (Be sure
to enter your actual user name. In most cases, the account name
will be the same as your e-mail address).

Enter your password if its been changed.

Click OK.

Click Close.
Outlook 2002
(XP)
-
Open Outlook 2002 (XP).
-
Go to Tools | E-mail
Accounts...
-
Select View or change existing e-mail accounts
and click Next.
-
Select your softsolutions.com e-mail
account and click Change...
-
The Incoming
mail and Outgoing mail servers should be set to mail.softsolutions.com
-
The User Name needs to be
changed to the following format: username@softsolutions.com (Be sure
to enter your actual user name. In most cases, the user name
will be the same as your e-mail address).

Enter your password if its been changed.

Click Next.
-
Click Finish
Eudora
-
Open Eudora.
-
Go to Tools | Options...
-
Click on Checking Mail on the
left side column.

The Mail Server should be set to mail.softsolutions.com
-
The Login Name needs to be
changed to the following format: username@softsolutions.com (Be sure
to enter your actual user name. In most cases, the login name
will be the same as your e-mail address).

Click on Sending Mail on the
left side column.
-
The SMTP Server should be set to mail.softsolutions.com
-
Click OK.
-
Click the Check Mail button.
-
You may need to enter your password (enter your new
password if its been changed).
Netscape
Mail
-
Open Netscape Mail.
-
Go to Edit | Mail & Newsgroups Account
Settings...
-
Click on Server Settings on the left side
column.
-
The Server Name should be set to mail.softsolutions.com
-
The User Name needs to be
changed to the following format: username@softsolutions.com (Be sure
to enter your actual user name. In most cases, the user name
will be the same as your e-mail address).

Click on Outgoing Server (SMTP)
on the left side column.
-
The Server Name should be set to mail.softsolutions.com
-
Click the Get Mesgs button.
-
You may need to enter your password (enter your new
password if its been changed).
