Filter Configurations
The instructions below will show you how to configure your computer to use
our content filtering service. This will only work properly if you have asked Software
Solutions to configure your account to use the filter. To add filtering to your
account contact support@softsolutions.com.
Internet Explorer
-
Go to Tools | Internet Options...
-
Click the Connections tab
-
Click the Settings... button
-
Check the box that says "Use a proxy server
for this connection"
-
Enter filter1.softsolutions.com in the Address:
field
-
Enter port 8888 in the port:
field
-
Click OK
-
Click OK
Netscape Navigator
-
Go to Edit | Preferences...
-
Click the arrow next to the Advanced category
-
Click on Proxies
-
Enter filter1.softsolutions.com in the
space provided next to HTTP, SSL, FTP, and Gopher
-
Enter port 8888 in each of the spaces
provided
-
Click OK
