Software Solutions now offers SPAM Filter by Spam Arrest
We
are happy to announce that we now offer an effective SPAM filtering
solution by Spam Arrest. Spam Arrest uses Challenge/Response technology to keep the spam out.
Once setup, emails from unknown senders will receive an auto-reply message asking them to verify themselves.
When the sender clicks the link in the email, they are taken to a webpage where they are "challenged" to type in a word that is hidden within a graphic.
When the sender successfully completes the "response", their email is forwarded to your inbox, and they are then added to your authorized sender list.
The challenge/response process is easy for people, but impossible for automated systems (i.e. spambots), to complete.
All email from unauthorized senders is held in an "unverified" folder for seven days.
You can access these emails at any time by logging into the the Spam Arrest website.
Users can manually approve any senders from whom you wish to receive email. Spam Arrest also allows you to pre-define email addresses, domains, and mailing lists that are allowed to send you email. This process can be done either manually or using Spam Arrest's import tools.
Spam Arrest even features anti-virus protection!
Spam Arrest can also be configured so that anyone that you send email to automatically gets added to your approved sender list.
